Training is the most important and loving thing you can do for your dog. It's how he learns what's expected of him in his new human family! Training a young puppy is mostly about socialization, teaching him what's acceptable and what's not. It should always be done in a positive and loving manner.

Many people don't think very far ahead of the "adorable puppy" stage. Unfortunately puppies grow up very quickly. Don't allow him to chew on your hand, stop him from jumping up on you, don't encourage rough play, don't allow him to roam the house freely and pee where ever he chooses. Crate him or put him in a specific area where he can't do any damage, or hurt himself. Remember, you don't have to break bad habits that were never allowed the chance to start.
